Corgi Beach Meetup
Mollie went to her first corgi beach meet up held at Fort Funston last month. She had a blast!
Wahoooo!! I'm in doggie heaven!!!
She played lots of fetch...
Chased after the Bat-Dog.
Many corgis were airborne.
She made some new friends...
*Shhh*... let me tell you a secret!
Played some more fetch...
Huffed and puffed up the hill.
Whooosh!
Mollie's in the lead!
She's almost got it!
Winner!
Cheese!!!
We can't wait for the next one!

Mollie turns 3!
Mollie's 3rd birthday was quite eventful. She had a nice dinner with us humans at an outdoor restaurant at the Stanford Shopping Center.
The restaurant was very dog-friendly and even offered Mollie a bowl of water.
Mollie also had some surprise dessert! We bought her a doggie cupcake from Sprinkles Cupcakes.
Yup, doggies definitely love cupcakes too.
Yum!!! We couldn't wait to watch her eat it.
This was moments before she devoured the cupcake in one gulp. Literally. We tried to take a video, but it wasn't much of a video because all she did was engulf the cupcake in its entirety with her mouth, then she faced the other direction fearing we would somehow steal the cupcake from her, and swallowed it the next second. It was a rather anti-climatic 3-second video. Note to self: get her a bigger cupcake next time.
After dinner, she did some shoppin' with us! First stop: Banana Republic.
She must check herself out in the mirror.
Throws a quick derp face while Daddy looks at some shirts.
Next stop: Apple Store.
*Yawn*. Mollie decides to take a break. She's too short to reach those iPads anyway.
Her last stop was Victoria's Secret. My oh my. Mollie thinks she's still too young to be wearing any of those. But we all know her furry butt looks best naked anyway.
Happy birthday, Mollie!!!

Mollie's first time swimming
We've always wanted to toss Mollie into a lake and see if she could swim. The opportunity finally came when we visited Lake Berryessa in
Napa last weekend and boated around the lake!
On the day of our boating adventure, Mollie was eager and ready to go. We even strapped a GoPro on her to capture the experience from her perspective.
We weren't sure if she knew how to swim so we bought her a life jacket just in case.
Look how ecstatic she is!
She could even magically levitate off the ground!
On the day of our boating adventure, Mollie was eager and ready to go. We even strapped a GoPro on her to capture the experience from her perspective.
Her
excitement didn't last long though. When she was dunked into the lake,
she was petrified! Instead of enjoying the water like I hoped she would,
she doggie-paddled desperately for dear life and tried to climb and
cling onto us with eyes of sheer terror, or she would try to swim back to the boat and reach for
the ladder to no avail with her short, stumpy legs.
Daddy also suffered numerous gashes all over his arm as Mollie tried to cling onto him with razor sharp nails. Although she was wearing a lifejacket that could keep her afloat, she didn't realize she could have just relaxed and bobbled around in the water without having to frantically swim. Silly dog :P
Upon returning to the boat after several minutes of her epic battle with the water, she
praised the ground and developed a new-found appreciation for land. She
was also exhausted...
So exhausted that she tried to get a drink, but conked out before she even reached her water bowl.
Will
this be the last time we bring Mollie to a lake? Certainly not!! She's
got to practice until she's comfortable! Conquering your fear builds
character, I tell her ;)
